Find here Psi2Win by Boris Cornet (RIP). Before his untimely death Boris was working on adding the Print option to Build 304. The Psi2Win_3034.ZIP below contains two further ZIPs for Build 303 and Build 304. These are safe to download and install as they contain only the unaltered files send to me personally by Boris. The included Installation.txt outlines his thoughts on how to successfully install this Comms Link server on any Windows PC (32 or 64 bit). Those enthusiasts looking for further information will find the republished Comm Link manual (here). Jaap of course has his archived on-line manual (here)

The Psi2Win Manual below was created from all Boris's Help and ReadMe.txt files.

Sincerely
Martin

This is a Psi2Win app portable.
For those who do not want to install this app on their PC but they want to use it.
You can run it even via a USB flash.

Nick.. I'm a bit confused your attached PSION_Link.ZIP is Psi2Win build 303 which is included in the Psi2Win_3034.ZIP above. Can you explain why 303 works but 304 doesn't?

In good faith
Martin

Hello.I have installed both versions of Psi2Win on my laptop.Today I have noticed that while the latest version (303) starts immediately, version 268 takes much longer to start. This does not happen in Windows 7.Probably has to do with Windows 10.Does anyone have any idea what I should do to fix this?Best regards.

Dear Νίκος

When I was testing ORG_Link V2 (here) for Lostgallifreyan I (we) noticed on a couple of occasions that it took longer to 'boot' than V1. We finally managed to put it down to the Avira antivirus 'inspecting' it. I'm not 100% but I think that version 268 predates Windows XP.

I'm intrigued as to why you want to use Psi2Win version 268, If I know you you are up to something!

Sincerely
Martin

Hello to all.
Martin I have just noticed that the setup menu of V303 also takes some time to start.
This was not usual last time.
Probably has to do with the updates of Windows 10.
Now as far as the V268 is concerned , I must say that I like the view of this version more.
Furthermore, a runtime error occurs often when I use the latest version (303).
Best regards.
Nick.

Ι I already use a 304V Martin, although I had never needed to use these options.
For me the best version for the comms link cable is the V268.
But now I have this problem....

Run time error

Yes I've had that error. Something was holding the Comms Port Open. Mine was on COM1 also... Maybe different versions of Psi2Win free up the port differently.. I think maybe the original serial interface is less forgiving than a USB port.

I think I cleared it with a cold re-boot.

Sincerely
Martin..

PS once it is working... "If it ain't broke don't fix it"
