Mains Adapter - for USA?

Post by toml12953 »

I can buy an AC adapter for the Organiser II that works on 110 - 120V and puts out 10v DC but I need to know the polarity of the barrel plug that connects to the Psion. Is the center positive or negative?

Dear TomL

May I suggest you also keep your eyes open for a USB Comms Link. Not only will this power your Organiser but it opens up the full Comms Capabilities. These are now as rare as hens teeth, they were developed by a Belgion enthisiast whose web site is now closed.

PS Hopefully one of our 'electronic engineers' might take up the challenge of recreating it.

Thanks for the tip! In the meantime, I'll use an original UK adapter and a converter that lets me use EU, UK and Australian devices with a US outlet.

Will do! I have a bar code reader, comm adapter, AC adapter, datapaks, datapak formatter, generic UV EROM eraser and UK<->US converter on order as well as the 32K Organiser II.
