Stonex R1 Plus - Comms setup...

Post by MartinReid »

Looks really clean Νίκος, I found the manual (here) and notice that it has a fully configurable comms port and that you can set data bits to 8 or 7 this should be easier to set up for Bluetooth..

Hello Martin. This series of Stonex instruments uses the same commands with Sokkia instruments. I have already make software for
Sokkia - Sokkisha instruments.
I have just noticed that they use different BCC routines (Checksum data) from Sokkia instruments.
So for the moment I don't use this routine for Stonex R series instruments.
Another problem that I have noticed is that all series of Stonex don't use the same command table.
Some other series of Stonex instruments use the same command table with Leica instruments and some other series use another command table that I don't know yet if it is the same with some other brand name instruments.
Unfortunately Stonex company does not publish the interface manual of each series of their instruments.
