Re: Beep formula in manual is incorrect???

I have a feeling the y% is the 'pitch' of the beep, the manual should explain it better...

Re: Key handling/structure efficiency?

I managed to repair a such membrane (LCD of alarm clock) using conductive paint, but it was a 'lucky' case as only a couple of tracks were damaged.

yes , it runs fine , it's a text-mode screen anyway, nothing special resolution

I'm intrigued... any chance of a short video?

Code: Select all

$ dosbox org2.exe

They are the same pin pitch, but have a narrower body so the 'normal' SOIC parts won't fit on the PCB. They are also fairly pricey:
bend the pins and solder like PLCC ;-}

Re: Psion XP power circuit schematic, LZ constant buzz, whine, beep. Re-capping

don't rely too much to that crap for ESR values, some time ago a neighbour found that a mis-behaving m'board had 'bad caps' - he de-soldered some of them and they all had 'high' ESR according to that meter. I did a test with my esr70g and not a single issue with them - the problem was elsewhere btw ...

Re: Missing chip?

Both my machines claim (according to the front markings) to be LZ64, therefore I'm not sure why one is missing a chip! Odd.
because one has two 32K (27C256) ROM and the other a 64K ROM.

Re: Converting 2 line comms link to 4 line?

as an idea for @Daren, you may try to desolder the VCC from the Comms ROM , use a datapack that has the 4-line Comms :)
