Re: LZ64s for sale

I wish I could find more large Rampacks. Several people are looking for them. When I had Olivier’s 256k Rampacks not a lot of people were interested! Time seem to have changed.
All the LZ64s are extremely good.

LZ64s for sale

Psion LZ64s (20+) for sale on eBay. Ignore the listed price, that was determined by the last one sold on eBay being £80! I am open to offers from forum members.
I also have a quantity of CMs at £10 each, and XPsat £15 each plus p&p.

Re: Psion LZ in a XP case

Update - it turns out the screen cover had been modified by cutting the original screen down to fit the height of the XP window. So I was wrong about the original screen cover fitting straight into an XP case.

Re: Psion LZ in a XP case

Just had a look at the transparent case on Jaap’s site, and that is an LZ64 case. I seem to remember he already had this one before I sold him the one in an XP case. Interestingly the black one next to it is also an XP format case with an LZ64. The gaps at the side of the screen explain why the one ...

Re: Psion LZ in a XP case

Having opened it up, it looks like the Perspex screen is either from an XP/CM, or the screen has been cut down from an LZ screen to fit. The sides of the screen have tape on them. So yes, the screen has to be changed. The back of the case has the spring contacts for the speaker. Some of the earlier ...

Re: Psion LZ in a XP case

I bought that one, and yes it is interesting and surprising that the screen is not obscured around the edges. I have come across it before, with a transparent cased LZ64 (which I sold to Jaap). I didn’t even realise that it was an XP case until Jaap pointed it out. So the simple answer is yes, the L...

Re: Rampack

I’m afraid not. When it’s gone, it’s gone. Hence Martin’s advice. When using a Rampack:- Switch the organiser off before inserting or removing a . Switch the organiser off and remove the Rampack before inserting any peripheral device. Insert a mains plug if you are going to use one, then switch the ...

Re: Gold mine

The goodies have arrived from Pawel. I am sorting them out over the weekend and will post them on next week. I will contact the buyers to get delivery address and arrange payment. Doesn’t appear that VAT has been charged!

Re: Comms link stuff

Just a note that I think some people believe the Comms Link is just a cable, and similar to the 3 Link. As Andrew points out the Comms Link is a bit more involved, hence the cost and scarcity. The latter is mainly irrelevant now since Andrew’s development of the new Psion II USB Comms Link, provided...

Re: Advice on best practice using Psion as database.

I used to use and LZ64 for inventory and stock checking going back to the late 80’s. Widget Filemaster was perfect for the job and I used a laser scanner for barcode reading along with Easybar Plus, including date and time stamping the records. It completely revolutionised the annual stocktake which...
