Terminal for Ubuntu? LINUX

Dear TomL Peter posted in the in the software section (here) how he was able to sync his Psion II on Linux using Dosbox and the original Psion Comms Link software. Apart from that not much here or on the original forum relating to Linux I'm afraid. Peter has not visited the forum for some time, but ...

Stonex R1 Plus - Comms setup...

Looks really clean Νίκος, I found the manual (here) and notice that it has a fully configurable comms port and that you can set data bits to 8 or 7 this should be easier to set up for Bluetooth..

Benchmark tests in Jape

Dear TomL I tried your benchmark test (Thimet) in a few the different model options in Jape and even in the emulator they all (models below) scored 16 seconds with index 21.25. The only anomaly was in the POS464 running Terry Kitchener'S POS2LZ64 software patch. The POS464 scored 15 seconds with ind...

Sub-second timer - TechRefManual

TomL

The Republished Technical Reference Manual (here) discusses 'milliseconds' and Appendix C has a list of system services. I wouldn't know how to 'call' them but maybe there is something there..

Sincerely
Martin

PS I'll try your benchmarking at the week end...

Run time error

Νίκος Yes I've had that error. Something was holding the Comms Port Open. Mine was on COM1 also... Maybe different versions of Psi2Win free up the port differently.. I think maybe the original serial interface is less forgiving than a USB port. I think I cleared it with a cold re-boot. Sincerely Mar...

Psi2Win 268

Dear Νίκος When I was testing ORG_Link V2 (here) for Lostgallifreyan I (we) noticed on a couple of occasions that it took longer to 'boot' than V1. We finally managed to put it down to the Avira antivirus 'inspecting' it. I'm not 100% but I think that version 268 predates Windows XP. I'm intrigued a...

Creating Datapak in Jaap's Emulator

Dear TomL Well I must say that is well spotted... You are correct there seems to be a bug in the emulator that 'corrupts' the 32 and 64K Datapacks. All the others pack sizes and types appear to work. Unfortunately I suspect you will need to adopt a work-a-round as Jaap never took up membership of th...
