Terminal for Ubuntu?

I have Ubuntu 20.04 running and I'd like to connect the Organiser II to it as a terminal for an academic exercise. I have AGETTY running on the serial ports but when Ubuntu boots up, only a few black squares are seen on the Organiser and there's no response after that. AGETTY should print the MOTD a...

Re: WTB Printer II, Eraser, etc.

I'm looking for official Psion Organiser hardware, the Printer II, Psion Eraser 16, MKIII Datapak Copier, other Psion hardware. I have the Comms Link and Bar Code reader so I don't need those but am interested in any other Psion hardware! I managed to find the Printer II and the Datapak formatter s...

Psion Pak Labels

Here's a sheet of labels that are hard to tell from originals. Print these onto an 8.5"x11" sheet of adhesive vinyl, cut along the lines and they work great!
I've included both US Letter size and A4 size @ 600 dpi, just print the size you need and the labels will be the proper size.

Benchmark

Whenever I get a new piece of programmable hardware, I like to run a standard benchmark on it to test it against other devices. One of my favorite sites is here: https://www.thimet.de/CalcCollection/CalcPerformance.html It has a comparison of many different handheld computers/calculators and program...

Sub-second timer?

Is there a way to measure time in increments of less than one second? I know I can start the program with t=hour*3600.0+minute*60+second then at the end of the program use t=hour*3600.0+minute*60+second - t to get the runtime in whole number of seconds but I'd like a finer measurement like centiseco...

Error in LZ Programming manual

In the description of the BEEP command on page 67 of the LZ Programming Manual, it says: "Syntax: BEEP x%,y% Sounds the internal buzzer of the Organiser. The sound duration is k% milliseconds. The frequency of the sound is determined by the equation Frequency = 921600/(78+2*y%)Hz." I belie...

Creating Datapak in Jaap's Emulator

I follow the instructions to create a 32K Datapak and when I turn on the emulator, it resizes the pak I made. When I try to do a DIR, though, I get ERROR UNKNOWN PACK. How can I use self-created paks?
